My top 5 picks for vintage hairstyles I love

I absolutely love Audrey Hepburn! (Who doesn’t right?!)

She’s one style icon I’ve tried to emulate ever since I was a little girl. Her effortless style and matchless presence on the silver screen made her the person I wanted to be when I grew up!

And when it came to sporting some amazingly coiffed hair, she beat all other actresses hands down! Check out Audrey’s trending hairstyles(I adore her chignon in Break At Tiffany’s).

So it’s no secret when I say her hairstyles are right at the top of my favorite vintage-styled tresses. Here’s more on the other favorites of mine (check out the how-to links!).

1. The timeless chignon:
It’s a hairstyle sported by several A-listers on the red carpet and it can be your’s! Audrey’s chignon a.k.a. The high bun can be worn formal or casual depending on the occasion. Remember to stack up on Bobby pins- you don’t want your chignon falling apart! Click here to try on this hairstyle.

2. 1920s pin curls:
Girls with wavy hair, it’s your turn to shine! Stop straightening out those bangs- the classic pin curled look is a rage at the moment! For those with naturally straight hair, here’s a tutorial on how you can recreate this look- The Great Gatsby style!

3. Beehive beauty:
Another classic Audrey look (can’t stop gushing about her!), the beehive was a rage in the 60s and it hasn’t faded ever since. Learn more on how to get your tresses all hived up!

4. Pixie party:
Loved Twiggy’s little pixie hairdo when I was growing up (lost the number of times I’ve copied it!). This style is versatile, but needs attention- a trim from time to time and applying hair gel helps keep the cut! And it’s not boring- here are some ways to style your pixie!

5. Add a bandana!
Go retro in seconds with a polka-dotted bandana added to your short bob! (It’s one on-the-go look that I swear by!)
Girls, what’s your fav vintage hairstyle? (I’m sure you have one that’s not already on the list here!) I would love to know. Till then, Sayonara!
